Position Overview
This role is designed for a high-performing Tax Supervisor who is ready to take on increased responsibility in both client service and internal leadership. The position offers a blend of technical tax work, client interaction, and team oversight, making it well-suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.
Primary Responsibilities
• Oversee execution of tax engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and deadlines
• Manage project timelines, staffing, and workflow across multiple client accounts
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Review tax returns and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Perform in-depth tax research and provide recommendations on complex issues
• Communicate effectively with both clients and internal team members regarding progress and deliverables
• Mentor and guide junior staff, including reviewing work and providing developmental feedback
• Stay informed on current tax laws and industry trends
• Manage a portfolio of clients, including budgeting, realization, and performance metrics
• Assist with advisory services and firm-driven initiatives when needed
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Active CPA license required
• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a public accounting environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Experience working with common tax and accounting software platforms
